If both partners (m/f in this case) don’t have any stds, can you still contract them?

Ive been trying to research online, but I've just found "You could contract it from your partner so use protection!" But what if both parties are clean? I saw something somewhere that you can get cancer or some kinda std from cunnilingus (i think thats how its spelt) or aids from anal sex… just wondering.
