Overall story:

I'm in a biomedical engineering undergrad program in a university in Canada. He was my TA for an engineering design course. When the official course grade came out and he's officially not my TA anymore, I asked him out on a date via Instagram. He said he'd love to but he'll be on an academic conference for 3 weeks in another country (this Insta conversation happened 2 weeks ago). We chat a lot about our personal stuff for 3 hrs on Insta, and it ended with me asking him to lemme know when he's back, and he said of course.

More info about me:

I'm here on a student Visa (since the age of 12). I skipped a couple of grades for elementary and secondary schools, so I've been younger than my peers for my entire life. I've had dating experience and relationships before, all with people noticeably but not significantly older than me, and it mentally did not feel like I'm dating somebody older. 11 years of an age gap is a first. I haven't made up my mind yet, but leaning towards the research and grad school side than the industry side upon graduation.

More info about him:

He immigrated to Canada at the age of 14 (Canadian citizen now). He's finishing his PhD in BME (yup, the same field I'll go into). But he'll step toward the management and marketing side of biotech upon graduation. So very soon he will be on a different path (but in the same field) instead of on the same path but 8 academic years ahead of me.

As the title asked, is there anything I should be aware of or think over before making this series? Also, any tips for our first date?

Plz & Thank you~
