What are some cheap “gifts” (really just free stuff) you can hand out to people as a conversation starter, and possibly to make some kind of impression?

The classics being like, baking and handing out your cookies. Buying everybody shots. Depends on the environment.

I mean something you could give to an almost stranger for just being at the same room you're at (i.e. a walk-in class for adults) and you're not necessarily the one in charge at the place or event.

So it should be really cheap, or seem really cheap if its not, but also have some thought/effort too. Or something quirky and mass produced like those slap hands or funny/punny trinket or a print/wacky postcard with nothing written on it.
