My husband (32m) and I (32f) both have friends of the opposite sex and totally trust each other with those friendships. However, a new girl (27f) recently came on to the scene and I’m like 95% sure she has a crush on him. She laughs waaaay too hard at everything he says, overplays inside jokes with him, y’know… just generally reaches out way too often for no reason.

I could understand if it was work or event related, or “hey this thing happened and I wanted to tell you about it”, but it mostly just feels an awful lot like she’s flirting with him, even if subtly.

I am zero percent worried about him reciprocating those feelings, but I don’t know if it would be worth just giving him a heads up so he knows to be careful? Or would that just be mean of me to probably second-hand end that new friendship by making it awkward for him?? I doubt she’ll actually make a move, she seems like a decent person, so maybe it would be selfish of me to say something to him about it? Especially with that small chance that I could be misreading her?

Am I overthinking this?? I’m high I might be overthinking this.
