Have iv missed out on potential friendships?

IV had especially this one person be very friendly and nice and cearing and started conversations and texts me first but I was too scared that she had evil intentions even tho she clearly didn’t and I was/is scared that she doesn’t want to be friends even tho she’s been and still is very nice and cearing? And is it too late to become friends considering we are graduating in 10 day but we have each other social media’s as well as number should I stay in touch or take it as a lesson
