Hi guys. I (25m) want to start to turn my life around and I figure that there is no better place to start than the gym. Currently I'm 5'11 and about 225 pounds, so not in awful shape, but definitely room to improve. I've lost 20 pounds through strictly diet/walking and figured now is as good a time as any to start going to the gym regularly.

The only thing is that I am clueless about the gym. Gym culture freaks me out, I don't have a clue to what muscles I should focus on or what routine I should follow.

What is the best advice or motivation you can give me to both start going to the gym and to stick with it.
