How soon do dudes text?

Hi, basically gave this dude my number last night and I've never really done this before. I'm wondering how likely it is he'll even reach out lol he reacted extremely positively but idk alcohol was involved. How long do dudes take to reach out? I figure they probably don't do it right away because they don't wanna seem too eager but how long should I realistically wait before chalking it up to a lost connection?
