As the title says. I have a coworker at work whom I do not click with at all. But my other coworkers seem to get along with him well. So to not make things awkward, I try and do the bare minimum in terms of social interaction with him whenever I see him (saying hi, for example) but I do not engage in deep conversation.

So my question is: how should I navigate social situations where we both are present? What is the reasonable amount someone who is not on the same wavelength as me can expect from me?

For context: In these social situations, it is usally not just the two of us, other coworkers are around.
