Why does he want to hu again?

recently hooked up with a guy whose size was too large for me (became a little painful) and neither of us ended up finishing. A while passed by and he asked to hu again but I don't get why since neither of us finished. I would say that we are friends and get along well. Guess I'm just kinda confused and getting insights Would help lol
