I’ll just jump straight in…I’ve been with my boyfriend for a little over 2 years. He moved in with me not long after my ex and I split up (we were just friends)we developed romantic feelings for each other very fast. Around 7/8 months into our relationship we started looking at apartments together, we looked at them almost daily. The day before our one year his cousin congratulated him on his “new apartment” but he had never mentioned anything about getting an apartment to me so as you can imagine I was shocked! After his cousin left the house I asked him about it, he confirmed it was true.. over the next month he began moving into this apartment, I was super excited to finally take the next step in my life but I quickly found out I wouldn’t be. I asked when I could move in and he said he wanted to make sure he had all his stuff how he wanted it first, I can respect that, he did all the work to get the apartment..A few months later I asked about moving in again but this time he told me he’s “never had anything to himself before and wants to enjoy it”. Weird but ok, the next time I asked he told me he was nervous to move in with me because I was too afraid of driving a car right now in life…Obviously after 6 months of trying to move in with him and multiple excuses I was fed up and hurt and began not being the nicest at times attitude wise and now he says this is the reason we can’t live together…I’ve explained numerous times that it makes me uncomfortable that we’ve now lived apart longer than we have together… He doesn’t see how this affects our relationship and he doesn’t act nearly the same way he did when we met…Has anyone else’s boyfriends/girlfriends moved out without them? I literally don’t know what to do 🤦🏼‍♀️
