What do you think about this point: “you should cure social anxiety not by just going out and desensitizing it, but by using triggers to get to the root of the problem and deal with it itself”?

The title of the post is about how I interpreted what [this](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/t15ycOReYSs) “short” (and then [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUj6gN0o4wU) video) is about.
So what do you think about that? Maybe you have some real life experience related to it?
