I work in the ultimate beaurocracy that is government. But I went to school for film production. I traded the instability for safety and a guaranteed paycheck but the ambition to be a creator never went away. Problem is I’m never around other creative people.
What do I do? I think the most sure fire way would be to go back to school, perhaps for creative writing. But how? I can’t risk throwing away a cushy dull as dishwater career for this. I have a family to support.
On the other hand, I do wonder if I could persevere doing creative work and live my very best life.
I’m sure the reality is somewhere in between.
