Why does everything come down to ghosting

I had an amazing time with this 25 M. I'm 20f btw.We hit it off instantly, I met him up and we ended up making out. Since then he hasn't texted at all and I know he won't. It just makes me sad that he could've said "oh I had a great time but I don't see this going anywhere" instead of just ghosting. It's so shitty 😭🙏🏻 please be adult about this and don't ghost people
