I have actually been in two relationships and a situationship, but I've never really approached a woman just because I was interested in her. With all the three women, we got to know each other casually at first, became friends, and then dated because we ended up liking each other.

I now want to try actually approaching women out of romantic interest. However, I'm also rather (but not entirely) asexual, so I am bad at both detecting another person's interest in me and at knowing if my own interest is really platonic or not. I also don't see the point in approaching a woman just because she's physically attractive – what would we even bond over? What do I have to talk to her about? I'm usually not even shy or nervous, I just don't know how it goes.

I'm a fairly fit guy, with various interests and hobbies, and have been told I'm good looking and smell great. Have also been told that I'm a bit odd (in a sort of autistic/neurodivergent way).
