Do you just let them go?

**the situation:**

* **I wanna order some really cheap** *avocado* ***tree*** from a web store
* and **the person offered if Im interested in some banana trees as well**
* Then I asked politely *”there are a lots of banana variety, what variety exactly?”*
* He says “*I would have told you if I knew…”*

This is when I get to decide to cut him off ( because I dont engage in people to talk to me in a disrespectful manner) but I can also just decide to ignore his tone and focus on what I wanted in the first place ( the avocado tree )

If I choose to stick with the how much you tolerate from people when you respect yourself then its definitely time to let it go..

But then again I can also not be such an overthinker and figure that this guy must have had a rough day, why care about such bullshit?

The ultimate question is when life gives you dozens of situations like this on the regular how do you deal with them?

  1. That particular situation doesn’t strike me as rude. Maybe you have a low tolerance for rudeness.

Edit: I understand that you immediately took that as “You’re stupid to ask. If I knew, I would’ve told you. You should’ve known that. You’re stupid.”

But to me it was probably more like “we’ll damn, I don’t know. I would’ve told you if I knew.”

Or it was defensive. Like “Oh, if I knew I would’ve told you because I’m good at customer service and I wouldn’t leave out a detail like that.”

Or it was just a sort of shrug and a “Eh sorry. I would’ve told you if I knew. Unfortunately, I don’t.”
