In Hungary it is usually the third most-commonly taught language after English and German. There is also the Gustave Eiffel Kindergarten, Primary-, and Secondary School in Budapest which teaches Hungarian kids the French language and also about French culture, its educational methods following the standards of the French state.
Interestingly, all Central European countries plus the Baltic states, Ukraine, and Ireland are observer members in the International Francophonie Organization.
