For me, that doesn't just appear overnight but appears every few hours across the day and I have to repeatedly wash my eyes every couple of hours, this has been going on for years.
Recently I met a dude and got grossed out by the hours of eye sand he had on his eyelid, even though it's explainable from his work shift, and the image does appear in my mind here and there. I'm worried that others might see me in the same way, because about 50% of the time I haven't had access to a bathroom to wash my eyes.
