Over the years I have watched a ton of horror films that rely too much on jump scares to actually make the film scary.
The insidious films come to mind for me if you removed all of the jump moments then you would be left with a boring movie which would not be scary at all.
However I feel like the conjuring would still have some scary moments once you took out the jump scares.
