So I (38F) have been dating a guy (48M) for over a year. We love each other and have had some great times and adventures, but every time I bring up what’s next in the relationship I’m met with comments such as I’m just not sure, and how can anyone know if someone is the one?
I’ve asked him to move in with me, which he declined, and have flat out asked if he intends to marry me one day. These conversations make him uneasy and pull back. Given our age, I think it’s perfectly acceptable, but, maybe I’m just rushing things. I want to marry him, possibly even have a kid with him and time is ticking.
Personally, I think we are mostly a great match but don’t want to spend lots of time with someone who will never fully commit. So, am I rushing it?
