I remember an American colleague telling me that it took her sometime to travel as she was processing her documents and was waiting to receive her passport. I brushed it off as I thought hers might be expired and she was renewing it or smth.
But then I was watching this Shameless episode where the main character was kidnapped to Canada and then couldn’t return to the states cause he “doesn’t have a passport”?! Im sorry what?!
Edit: for context, in the episode, no one could travel to him to Canada to give him his passport back as he doesn’t have one in the first place lol mb
