When I was in Bali I met a group (but came all solo) from the same country as me. I took initiative to have some smalltalk. The men were quite hostile to me (only short answers, no eye contact, walking away when im speaking, and mocking about me) but the women were kind and open for a dialogue. Usually its the opposite.
One girl even invited me to take seat at the group table -I have social anxiety- but during my whole stay the men paid 0 attention to me. And when I initiate I could feel that they wanted to get rid of me.
What could be the reason for this?
