Should I ask her why she ghosted me before or would it be too weird?

I (M17) used to be friends with this girl (F18), then I liked her and asked her out. She said yes, but then ended up ghosting me. That was two years ago, but a few months ago, she followed me on instagram again, and we’ve kinda been talking. She’s a year older than me, so she’s already in college but she’s been asking me about my plans for college. She seems too nice, considering the last time we’ve talked she ghosted me. One of my friends said that I should stop talking to her, and someone else said that I should ask her why she ghosted me, so I’m not sure what to do.
