A common theme of TV and movies, at least in the 80s and 90s, was that kids got sent off to “summer camp”. Doesn’t seem as common any more. Was this much of a thing in real life America and is it still now? Typically how long do kids spend at these places? Any good stories/memories from anyone that went? Also, is it true that some fat kids got/get sent to “fat camp” and some Christian kids got/get sent to “bible camp”?
