how to communicate lack of interest to the guy ive been texting?

ive been talking to a guy for a couple of weeks. we’ve made plans to go see each other in the upcoming week. however, im consistently losing interest in him. he oversexualizes our convos, will take HOURS to respond, and our conversations are just .. bland. we have literally nothing in common. nothing bad, i just don’t want to continue anymore. i dont want to continue talking to him because i see no point- im looking for a relationship, NOT a weirdly overly sexual guy friend. how do i communicate my lack of interest? should i wait for our date and let him know after?
