Should I hear her out or count my losses?

So there's this girl (35) that I (35m) asked out a couple of times and we would make plans and they would always fall through so I took as she was just being nice but not really interested. December last year she texted me and said she wasn't really looking to date but was interested in being FwB. I told her I wasn't interested in that but if she ever changed her mind about dating that I'd be here. In that time we became pretty good friends so for mothers day I gave her a gift (like I do all mothers I know that I feel  don't get the credit they deserve). She literally cried when I gave it to her then hugged me and said "I love it, I've never had anything nice like this". Since then she has been really short with me and barely looks at me. This morning she asked if we could talk. She's the first person I've met in a pretty long time that seemed worth any effort but I'm not sure about talking to her now because I've been miserable trying to figure out what I did.
