If you have nobody in your life complimenting you, how do you get a bit of an ego boost when you need one?

  1. Do a bit of exercise and try taking pictures of my good angles đŸ«Ą

  2. Remember that there has to be one person in the world that loves you. Searching is exhausting.

  3. When I’m feeling like I need a confidence boost and no one’s around to give me a compliment, I try to focus on the things I’ve accomplished or qualities I admire in myself. It might sound simple, but reminding myself of my strengths helps lift my spirits.

  4. Focus on building skills that you can objectively see yourself doing well or progressing at, that doesn’t require validation from anyone else.

  5. Look in the mirror and compliment yourself OR when you receive a compliment store them in your memory for a rainy day.

  6. OP I hope you won’t mind but I looked at your profile, as I was going to suggest you find a sporty hobby – it combines exercise which is wonderful for self confidence and endorphins, and also there are many supportive and positive communities where you can make so many friends and immediately bond over the shared interest of your sport. My hobby is Brazilian jiu jitsu and I wanted to see if that was something you might be interested in before I commented. When I looked I saw that you have lost a lot of weight, and I just wanted to say that that shows incredible determination, self love, commitment, consistency and drive. It is an amazing accomplishment and I hope you feel an ego boost just from knowing you did such a wonderful thing for yourself. If you are interested in sports, as I said I would highly recommend martial arts. I have been doing it for 6 years (I am a 30 year old very small woman so not the main demographic and it was intimidating to me at first), but now I have a lovely community of many supportive and positive people, almost all my friends are at my gym and we give each other compliments every time we see each other. In addition just building a skill and being able to do something today that I couldn’t do a month ago, or learning a small detail that I didn’t know, makes me feel much better on the days when I am feeling down. Even if that isn’t for you, I would suggest anything with a similar opportunity to be in a positive environment – painting with a group, bird watching, indoor climbing, chess, literally anything you might like there is a community out there who would be thrilled to meet you and support you. I wish you the best OP

  7. I post my boobs on the internet đŸ€·â€â™€ïž (don’t judge me. I haven’t done it in a really long time, lol, but like… it works😭)
