The US is teetering on having a negative birth/death rate, and the population only continues to increase significantly because of immigration. Several factors contribute to the declining birthrate: economics, preferences, etc. But whether or not you want biological children, you aren't having them without a partner. Lots of people complain about online dating not working anymore and the US having a toxic dating environment. (I can tell you from living abroad that dating is much harder here than it is in some other countries.) So, is the US dating landscape largely responsible for its population decline?

I 27F matched with a guy 25M. After talking for a week, he says he wants somebody to fill his void after getting out of a long-term relationship. Is this a red flag, should I run? My gut says so.
