I haven’t dated a lot.
But everyone I’ve dated has been super transactional. They either wanted marriage immeadiately, or they ONLY wanted sex and didn’t say that.
Do people actually WANT to get to know each others compatibility? Does anyone even want to know what the other person wants?? (Sex, marriage, dreams in life, etc?)
Or are people just horrible at asking these personal questions? And realizing that establishing an emotional connection is about discussing your personal emotional needs/ wants/ desires/ preferences/ triggers?
I tried to ask the last guy I dated all these questions and he brushed them off. Well I should have known, cus he brushed ME off a few weeks later!
In any relationship, it’s vital to know if we both want kids, how we feel about adoption, abortion, marriage, divorce, prenups, ex’s, communication styles, expression of emotion, attachment styles…
And why tf wouldn’t I ask? I’m dating random men from the wild???? I need information on them.
I know if a person won’t talk about this they’re not truly interested in you! Or just interested in sex!
