My husband (31M) and I (26F) both work remotely and it makes life so good for us both & our little one (1Y 11M). Since she was born in 2020, we haven’t needed to be back at physical offices.
So we have family lunch together every weekday (if not lunch then we try and go outside for a brief family stretch). Since my husband works in a different time zone, work gets more busy towards the end of the day in the country we live. So I get some alone time with our kid & prepare her for bed. Then some time to myself before my husband is done with work and joins me for some us time.
He shares breakfast with our child in the mornings before the nanny comes in so he gets her alone time with her then.
I love the current arrangement and cannot be more thankful for working from home! It’s given our family life a really comfortable pace.

Edit: some typos

  1. What do you both do for work? My husband and I have worked from home at different points during Covid and we have a baby. We both have jobs that are nearly impossible to do while watching a little one.

  2. I couldn’t agree more with this. Myself (35f) and hubby (39m) both work from home currently and we have a daughter (4year old) There is no return to office notice at this time and will literally will be heartbroken when/if it comes as we have worked so hard to be in such a routine together as well as all the extra time added back into our day from not having to commute crazy long times at crazy hours.

  3. How did you manage to work and take care of the baby during his first months? I work remotely and plan to get pregnant soon and would like to hear what your experience was
