Guy I’m talking to does not want to talk after fight

I 22f have been talking to 24m for almost 2 months. We had an argument yesterday he did apologize but I was still upset since it had to do with him drinking too much. After I left he didn’t text me when he got home or today until I texted him if he had gotten home safely. He responded with just a yes. I tried asking him if he wanted to talk about the fight and he said not right now but we will . I’m upset because I feel like I’m the only one trying to communicate. He has also been dragging to respond all of today. I understand he needs space but I also don’t know if he even wants to continue and I don’t want to play games since I want something serious.
