I know that a strong pelvic floor is important to erection quality and stamina, and have been doing Kegel exercises to strengthen mine. My question is – when you’re doing the deed, should you consciously engage those muscles somehow or will they just automatically do what’s needed if they’re strong enough?

I suffer from “getting into my head” and focusing so much on getting and keeping my erection that I tend to lose it. So I’m hoping the answer is that focus and effort aren’t needed here. But I’ve never seen anyone talk about this when talking about the importance of a strong pelvic floor for men.
