I'm currently a student in London and I've not had much luck with using dating apps. I've tried using all sorts like Fruitz, Bumble, Hinge and so on, but I can go months without having so much as a match or message.

I don't put age caps on my search filters, but this doesn't seem to help. On Fruitz for example, I've literally run out of potential matches within 70 miles of where I am.

I recently asked the Bumble subreddit for constrictive feedback on my profile. Whilst a couple of responses were quite inappropriate, most people were helpful and fair, but I still find it hard to think that I'm going to have any luck with dating apps.

I guess my question is then, how can I go about dating without apps? I'm kind of sick of them at this point, but I'm also very shy and I worry about coming across as creepy, awkward or desperate.

My friends have all managed really well with dating and relationships, and I'm starting to worry there's something I'm doing wrong or missing.

Thanks!
