So late last year I made a post on FB on the local town group for anyone who might like to get together and play some DnD. A fair few people replied and after a few coming and going we've got a little core group of six of us who've been playing a campaign since the start of the year. When we're in the game it's fun, I think everyone enjoys it, I mean they all keep coming each week, so there's that? Although, when the DM finished the session it all gets a bit awkward. Sometimes no one really knows what to say to each other, and we all kind of awkwardly leave. I understand my expectations might be very different than that of the others, I know the DM just loves the game and he wants to play it, but I really was hoping to make some friends or at least build a bit of a bond but it just feels stilted. I did suggest going to the cinema which I was surprised that they all were on board with, we saw Dune 2, which I thought would help and it kinda did for a bit. Should I just accept it as it is, or is there anything I can do to make it a friendlier experience?
