Bank accounts

Just wanted to know how many of you out there have separate bank accounts or do you have a joint account. I ask is because my wife does not have good financial habits, not that she spends too much but she does not y know or care about our finances. I make 75 percent of our household income, she works part time , she is limited from a disability, and she gets upset when I have to tell her is certain weeks that hey don’t spend anything this week as we paid a lot of bills. So I am thinking on just saying to her let’s get separate accounts you take over some of the bills maybe 25 percent I will take the rest and you can budget your account and I will budget mine. For those of you that have done that does it work for you?
