Met This Guy Online

So I (23F) joined a dating platform and met this guy (28M) and we’ve really been enjoying talking. We text every day very consistently and an almost always immediate response type deal. He’s great and very respectful and reassuring. He’s a great communicator. All in all it seems that he’s a 10/10 for me. The only downside is that we live 10 hours away from each other. Here’s the thing though I got the impression everything was good on his end with the distance between us (it’s good with me and we had briefly both admitted that we’ve never done long distance before) until this morning when when he told me that he basically doesn’t see where this could happen in a healthy way but he hasn’t completely ruled it out and “who knows what the future may hold.” I’m at a loss, I haven’t known him for more than a week so I’m not in love or anything close to it but I am starting to enjoy him being in my life. Dating is hard for me because my last relationship was an abusive one and I have a lot of trouble with trust. So please help me, am I wasting my time? Should I stop perusing this or just see what happens?
