Can you no longer leave school at 16? Even if you want to do casual manual work? If you aren't academically minded how long do you have to stay in education now? Can the government fine you?
UPDATE: Thanks for the answers everyone. Seems to be lots of people are still confused re the rules (including my sister in law whose eldest is 13). From what I gather you should stay on in education but people do slip off the radar and aren't prosecuted.
