Might be a cliche, but at mine it is definitely in the use of technology.

Most things tech related are treated as a ‘young person’s thing’, which often means junior staff end up doing lots of basic tasks for senior management. Making PDFs, setting up video calls, etc.

The worst thing is when a relatively younger middle manager is replaced by someone older who doesn’t know how to use the software the previous manager used, and there is an expectation that somebody else will use this software/take on this part of the job rather than the new person learning how to use it for themselves.

What’s it like at yours? Anything more surprising than tech?
