I'm a (private sector) language teacher on an hourly rate. Through being a bit creative and filling my hours I've ended up in a pretty cosy situation. I make £42k/ a year from a very easy stress-free job with a lot of holiday. I'm very lucky, I know that.

The problem is that there's nowhere to go from here and I feel too young (35) to rest on my laurels and 42k doesn't stretch that far in modern Britain. I'm an ambitious person but I don't want to go into management as a line manager's annual salary is lower than my hourly rate, so I'd be earning less for a lot more stress and work. But I feel like I'm wasting my youth and potential if I just stay here.

I was a self-employed tutor before lockdown, and I practically fell into this job so I've never had a job interview, I don't know corporate jargon, or the keywords that you're meant to use in an interview. The last time I wrote a CV I was applying for a student summer job waiting tables. If anyone could offer a fresh perspective, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.
