So of course I always avoid the people with pyramid schemes who pretend they want to catch up with you.
However, this is different. Sometimes, an old classmate will open a small legitimate business of their own and send a message to everyone with a spiel asking them to buy their food products or something.
Is it fine if I just say, “Hi, nice talking to you after so long, will try to check it out later if I have time.” I don’t want to reject their request to support products from their small business outright… I would support if I could, but I really have no use or interest in their dimsum when I can get better and cheaper ones around the corner.
