I'll be graduating from uni where I didn't really meet that many people and I'll be moving to London where I essentially don't know anyone. I have no idea what I should do or how I can go about meeting friends.

I've tried going to meetup.com events and in most of these events the vast majority of people are middle aged (i.e. 30s, 40s) and usually I'm by some distance the youngest person there so I can't really connect to them. Additionally, most people in pubs tend to come in their established groups anyways, I don't doubt that they're open to talking to new random people but even when I have tried it nothing usually comes out of it. Additionally, I'm extremely budget-conscious so I am quite adverse when it comes to spending money on drinks or for tickets to events. Many interest-specific events (e.g. sports classes) are quite expensive and above what I am willing to pay.

I have a speech difficulty that makes it really hard for me to speak even in informal settings in addition to being on the spectrum so obviously that makes things even harder for myself and I really struggle when it comes to speaking in group-settings (e.g. I find it hard to speak or get a word in or quite often I stumble upon words or struggle to get words out of my mouth). Also I find it hard to continue a conversation and come up with new conversation material so I'm aware I'll be classed as boring by others.
