We are planning a big trip to the States in February (2 adults, 2 kids aged 5 & 7) and need local guidance on the best places to go, stay, eat, and see. We will rely entirely on public transport, without hiring a car.

Our itinerary includes:

  1. Los Angeles – We plan to spend 3 days here, mainly to visit Universal Studios.

  2. Washington, DC – We're open to other nearby destinations that allow easy travel to New York. We aim to visit the Smithsonian museums and learn about American history.

  3. New York – We're excited about the food and want to stay somewhere central to access the Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center Memorial, Central Park Zoo, Natural History Museum, Grand Central Station, and Times Square.

We would appreciate accommodation recommendations that either include breakfast or have a kitchen/kitchenette to minimize eating out.
