I don’t see the point.

I listen to The Times podcast and there is often a BP advert that pops up that really annoys me. There’s a really chirpy female voiceover talking about energy and how it’s “and, not or”.

It’s always annoyed me and I realised today that it can’t possibly appeal to anyone.

Then tonight I saw an advert for Shell.

Again, the only real life situation I can think of either of these companies being used is when you go for fuel. And surely that is based on distance and price.
