He’s confusing me

So I (20F) started getting close with my friend’s roommate (20M). It all started one weekend when everyone in the house was drinking and hanging out, at this moment they had yet to buy a couch, and my friends roommate let me sleep in his bed with him, nothing happened it was just a friendly gesture. However it’s become the norm that anytime I go over now, which is every weekend and some weekdays, that I’ll spend the night in his room now. There’s been a couple times where I end up just spending the whole weekend with him where we’ll go out to eat, play games, watch movies, goof around, etc. Me and him work different schedules where he has work at 0800 and I at 1500, but this recent Monday, I asked if he was busy pretty late in the night, he wasn’t and he drove us to a spot out of state to look at stars, which was about an hour and a half drive and we didn’t get back until 2:30. But when me and him are together doing “couply” shit, and one of his roommates knocks on the door we immediately move away from each other as no one else in the house knows what’s going on between us. I’m just confused on if this is a situation where I might be getting my hopes up of us actually becoming smth and I might be seeing it as more than it actually is.
