I'm leaving the country I live in for a business trip in another country. I won't be back for at least two months. I met someone a week ago and we had a good convo. We decided to meet up for drinks before I left the country. We did, it was fun, but he asked me to hang again the next day because I had to leave early to pack. I genuinely wanted to meet again, I also wanted to pay back the drinks he got for me, but I had to move all my belongings and pack. I said if I have time I want to hang, let's keep in contact. So today he is messaging me throughout the day, like when can we hang, and I'm saying that I'm moving all my belongings so I have no idea how long it will take, if it finishes early enough let's hang, I'll contact you again.

I didn't message back because I didn't finish until 8pm, but he text around 7pm pissed off that I wasn't giving updates (I text last at 4pm saying it's long and will probably be night till I'm free) he said like "I really wish you would update me. You can't hang right?" I didn't feel like I owed this person I have only met once constant updates about my day when he knows I'm moving all my belongings and busy. Is this crossing a boundary? Was I not clear enough that I only intended to hang out if I had time? Am I disrespecting others time by not making concrete plans? I get the sense he was waiting on me, which I feel bad for, but I wish he understood I really didn't have time.
Edit: he messaged back after not replying last night and said he got in a wreck. uhhh. maybe I dodged a bullet?
