Been on a few dates with a girl and things were going great. Then she told me she had genital herpes.
Initially I was shocked/panicked, and thought things were done between us. I felt bad for her and respected that she told me, but at the same time, did not want this incurable scary disease.
I've now had chance to do some research and it seems a lot of people can have it and not know. I didn't realise that most standard STI panels don't test for it and condoms don't prevent it. I've never had any coldsores or anything down below, but I have slept with my fair share in the past.
No idea what to think. Whether I'm being dramatic and should see how things go or I'd be an idiot to even consider.
