Is kissing your kids weird?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 and half years now. We definitely have been brought up extremely differently. Him and his parents aren’t very close at all and never really were. I’m extremely close with my parents. They are actually like my best friends. I used to kiss (only) my parents on the lips growing up until I felt uncomfortable at like 12. He does not recall ever getting kisses on the lips as a child from his parents. I believe it’s extremely normal up until a certain age. He thinks even as a baby or toddler it’s still weird (which I think it’s more to think that it’s weird kissing your baby or toddler). He says nobody does that and I have alteara thought the majority of people do that. There isn’t a poll or research online with enough people to know which is true.
