I have been dating my gf for 3,5 months now. She is younger than me(21F and I’m 26M) and is still trying to figure her life out. She dropped out of university and is living with her family who she is entirely dependent on.

Now I’ve recently received a job offer in another state for a tech role which I’ve been wanting for years. I will resign from my current role and move in a few weeks. I told her about this possibility beforehand and she said that we can move together. The only issue is that I cannot sustain myself and her financially. She might be able to find employment but it wouldn’t pay well as it would most likely be in a coffee shop or retail so I would cover most of the bills. I have also only known her for less than 4 months and think that this is too much of a commitment. I love her but the stress of being responsible for providing for someone else weighs on me.

Before all this things were easier as she lived with her family. I would pay for everything when we went out and spoil her occasionally with gifts but sustaining someone else is completely different.

I am considering breaking up. Long distance is not an option as neither of us want that.

How do I communicate this to her? She is so sweet that I do not want to hurt her emotionally but that might be inevitable. Feeling really conflicted…..

Tl;dr: Considering breaking up with gf as I am moving states for a new job. Advice needed…
