I’m due to receive some inheritance and after an awful few years (inheritance is after losing my mum, dad and sister) I just want a completely brand new, fresh start.
I’d like somewhere with countryside/beaches not too far away but in a place where I could still get to the occasional stand up comedy or music gig without it being a mammoth mission.
Ideally somewhere with good transport links as my partner doesn’t drive (I do). Not a major city but with some life – pubs, shops etc. He’ll probably look to work in retail and I’ll work from home in a remote job.
East Anglia, London and Kent are ruled out but everywhere else (ideally within half hour of the coast) is fair game!
Initial thoughts have been Lake District or Devon but conscious of high summer tourism!
