I've noticed that I sometimes interrupt during conversations, not out of disrespect, but to share information that I find relevant and to avoid forgetting it later (I forget things easily).

For example, yesterday when I was talking to a coworker, he mentioned that his dad was a firefighter. I immediately chimed in to share that my dad is also a firefighter. He gave me a look because he was still speaking, which made me reflect on this habit. I want to clarify that I only interrupt when it’s directly relevant to the topic at hand, and never to change the subject.
