So the thing is, I met this guy and we’ve been texting each other for a while and decided to go on a date. Before the date we did see each other couple of times and he is clearly interested in me. And before the date, when we were texting, he stated that he’s not looking for anything serious but was curious to see if things would go differently. I didn’t really mind because I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for and just wanted to go out and have some fun. We planned to go to a bar and on the day of our date he wanted to reschedule because of work. I didn’t mind at all and we rescheduled for next week. I thought the plan would be the same, that we would go to a bar, but he started to tell me how it would be fun to go to a McDonald’s parking lot. When I said no and suggested another place (if he didn’t want to go to a bar and eat out, that’s fine, I suggested a place with great food and nice ambiance) he then replied, “how about a&w?”….. I don’t know if I’m dramatic or not, but why would you suggest to go on the first date there. I’m not sure how many times I can decline his propositions to go to a parking lot. I get it, it can be cute, but only when you’re a bit far into the relationship (any kind, friendship too). But for the first time??? I told my friends and they all suggested to just not go at all😭 I don’t know if I’m overreacting because if it’s nothing serious, then maybe a parking lot is the place to go. If we’re planning we might as well go somewhere nice.
